History

Mr. Bunny Helling started the import company in 1965, with a focus on France.  Why France?

Products from the German speaking countries were most of all represented, but not the products from France.

Maybe, the French language or the French mentality was the reason.

The first exclusivity was Skis Rossignol together with the binding brand Salomon.

Both companies worked in that time together, due to the fact that both companies had their own products; Skis and Bindings, which completed each product.

The future changed a lot with the two companies, you will read this further on!

Rossignol, Salomon and Look were one of the first suppliers to the FFS.( Fédération Française de ski ) with logo of the Gallish Rouster and through this logo a pair of skis. Still this logo is used today.

Don’t think this logo is the brand logo of Rossignol or other suppliers to the FFS!

The wintersportmarket developed fast and  a lot innovations came.

In the meantime the name “ Skis Rossignol Nederland “ changed  into “ Helling Euroski Ltd “ due to an active acquisition of many new brands.

Helling Euroski Ltd. was the first company who made the first Rossignol clothing collection under lincency of Skis Rossignol in Voiron.

The following brands were marketed:

Sidas Comformable footbeds,Tecnica Moonboots en skiboots, Le Trappeur skiboots, Heschung skiboots,  Isba afterskiboots, Le Phoque afterskiboots, Galibier hikingshoes, Kerma skipoles, Dynastar skis, Cébé goggles, Gamet skigloves, Skiing skipants. Henri Duvillard skiwear, HCC skiwear, Samas skiwear, Skiot skiwear, Descente cycling-and skiwear, Kway coupe de vente, Finnlassie athletic wear,Nabolz sportswear, Georges technical socks, Stiga tabletennis and snowgames,Toko skiwaxes, Wintersteiger machineries, Reichmann machineries, Swans goggles, Sulzberg Sport, Fred Perry, etc.

A lot of brands disappeared or were integrated into other stronger companies.

The most important acquisition was Salomon and Descente. Salomon was integrated into a new branch office in Holland: “ Trendsport International Ltd. “  and in Belgium into: “ Sportstrade International Ltd.”  Other brands remains in Helling Euroski Ltd.

Togehter with Hans Hess in Switzerland we marketed the first SPEED skating suits under the licency of Descente Japan.

Eric Heiden, Frans Krienbuehl and Aegon and later on the DSB speed skating teams used the Descente clothing.

Don’t forget the successfull cyclingteams like: Raleigh, Panasonic, ( Peter Post ), Seven Eleven, Carrera, Phonak, CSC, etc. They all used the famous Descente cyclingbibs and shirts.

Descente skiwear from Japan since 1935, is one of the most important functional skiwear makers worldwide and is exclusive distributed in the Benelux, Great Britain and Ireland by Helling Euroski Ltd. Descente is the exclusive supplier of the Swiss, Spanish, Korean ski and skicross and also the Canadian skicross teams, the Canadian speed skating team and many worldwide skischools.

Trendsport  International and Sportstrade International were the biggest distributors in the Benelux on the wintersportarticle market.

We marketed f.i. the whole Salomon assortment from the beginning: the ski-edges, skibindings, skiboots, XC, skis, SNB, hikingshoes, inlineskates, golfclubs ( Taylor Made ) and last but not least the clothing.

We know all the “ Ins and Outs “ of the technology and marketing.

The branchoffices Trendsport International and Sportstrade International ( Salomon ) are now integrated in the Amer sports group in Finland, in this group are as well the brands: Atomic, Wilson, Suunto, Precor cardio equipment, Arcteryx and Mavic.
